About the Role
We are currently seeking Casual Orderlies to join our team. Although the role may not involve direct medical care, Orderlies play a crucial part in enhancing the healthcare experience. Your responsibilities will include assisting with essential daily tasks such as transferring patients between wards, maintaining cleanliness by picking up rubbish and linen, delivering meals to various wards, and providing support across inpatient healthcare settings within the region.
Your role will extend beyond these tasks; you will also help transport patients to different areas of the hospital, including the theatre, radiology department, and emergency department. As an Orderly, you will listen attentively to patients' concerns and relay important information to the nursing staff. Additionally, you will be responsible for the delivery and collection of mail and transporting non-medical supplies throughout the hospital.

About You
In this role, you will support patient care and hospital operations while maintaining a safe, responsive environment for both patients and staff.
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare support role is preferred
- Physical fitness to safely move patients and equipment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to providing excellent service with a calm and compassionate demeanor
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
