About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Specialist with a sub-specialty interest in Ophthalmology to join our dynamic and collaborative team in delivering high-quality care to the Te Tai Tokerau community. Our focus is on providing a wide range of Ophthalmological services as close to home as possible, with cataract surgery being a key component of our offerings. Candidates should have experience in cataract surgery and be willing to participate in the consultant on-call roster, which is currently at a 1:5 rotation.

About You
Candidates must have, or be eligible for, specialist (or locum tenens) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) in an Ophthalmology Vocational scope of practice. You should either be a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists or be committed to working towards this designation as soon as possible. If you are currently overseas or not yet registered, we are happy to assist you with the application process to obtain MCNZ registration.
