Our team is focused on delivering top-notch service, and we are currently seeking a motivated and friendly individual to join our Checkout & Online team as the Checkout & Online Assistant Manager. About the Role As the Checkout & Online Assistant Manager, you will support the Checkout & Online Manager in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the department. We are looking for someone who is reliable, organized, and committed to delivering excellent customer service. In this role, you will report directly to the Checkout & Online Manager. Requirements The ideal candidate should have previous experience in a supermarket environment and be able to demonstrate the following key attributes: - Developed organizational skills - Effective communication abilities at all levels - Strong attention to detail - Self-motivated with a willingness to go the extra mile - Dedication to providing superior customer service - Good computer skills with the ability to easily learn new programs Key responsibilities for this position include: - Assisting in managing a team and developing effective rostering - Overseeing all aspects of the Checkouts and Online services - Ensuring regulatory compliance with the sale and supply of alcohol - Maintaining Health & Safety and Food Safety Standards within the department - Keeping accurate inventory of magazines and tobacco - Monitoring the performance of the checkout and online departments across a range of KPIs If you believe you possess the relevant experience and skills for this role and thrive in a busy work environment, we would love to hear from you.
