About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Food Safety Officer to work part-time, 20 hours per week. In this role, you will actively lead our Food Safety Plan, ensuring that we meet the highest standards of food safety compliance. This permanent position may include some after-hours shifts, providing flexibility in your schedule.
To excel in this role, you should have strong organizational skills, the ability to develop effective systems, and a proactive mindset. Industry training in relevant areas will be a distinct advantage, and familiarity with SAP and the Foodstuffs Food Safety Plan will also be beneficial.
This position offers a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, self-confident team player who thrives in a dynamic environment. You will hold significant responsibilities and must possess the skills necessary to oversee the daily operations of this critical function within our supermarket.
Requirements

Key Responsibilities
As the Food Safety Officer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the highest standards of food safety are achieved and maintained
- Organizing, leading, and coaching staff
- Ensuring successful audit outcomes and setting aspirational standards for others
- Meeting all legislative requirements
- Evaluating compliance with the approved Foodstuffs Custom Food Control Plan relevant to our retail supermarket operations
