About the Role
We are excited to offer a great opportunity for career advancement in a leadership role with our iconic New Zealand brand. We are seeking a full-time Duty Manager for our Rebel Papanui location. In this position, you will take on leadership responsibilities, manage shifts, train and coach team members, and champion an exceptional customer experience. This is a fixed-term position covering maternity leave, with an expected end date at the beginning of May 2026. The working hours will be from Tuesday to Saturday, totaling 38 hours per week.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Duty Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Operating the tills and managing cash handling
- Leading the team to deliver first-class customer service
- Running shifts effectively
- Training and coaching team members
- Supporting online customers by efficiently picking and packing orders
- Ensuring accurate pricing on all merchandise
- Maintaining a clean and organized department
- Advocating for Health & Safety practices within the workplace
What You Will Need to Bring to This Role
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates who possess:
- Previous experience as a Duty Manager (preferred)
- A background in retail
- A passion for pursuing a career in retail
- Expertise in customer service
- A reliable and trustworthy work ethic
- The ability to build strong rapport with the team
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends
- A commitment to Health and Safety in the workplace
