About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on CNC operator who is curious and mechanically inclined. This position offers the chance to engage in interesting and meaningful work within the timber industry. Key Accountabilities
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and processing jobs. Your tasks will include programming machines, which ideally requires a minimum of two years of experience. You will design and produce templates and knives, set, grind, and hone knives to specific profiles, and set up machinery for production runs.
Additionally, you will operate planners, band saws, and other machinery, ensuring continuous quality checks to maintain product specifications. You may also assist with various duties to keep the machine shop running effectively, including forklift operation, strapping, wrapping, grading, filleting, and tallying of timber.

We are looking for someone who is mechanically minded and a great problem solver, with experience in CNC machine operations and programming. The ideal candidate can work effectively under pressure, is adaptable, takes pride in their work, and can collaborate well in a team environment while also being capable of working independently.
