Requirements
We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist with the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in setting up and operating lathes, mills, and mill/turn machines
- Bonus points for familiarity with GibbsCAM or machine controls such as Mazak and DMG; however, we are willing to provide training if needed
- A solid understanding of CNC programming is essential, with a preference for those who have a knack for "machine whispering"
- Experience in turning and/or Mill/Turn operations is preferred; we also have 3-axis and 5-axis mills available
- A collaborative mindset, with a desire to solve problems alongside engineers and a willingness to mentor apprentices
- A strong commitment to safety, as we prioritize a safe working environment
- A positive demeanor, good humor, and pride in delivering high-quality precision work
What You'll Be Doing
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up, operating, and fine-tuning CNC machines to manufacture precision parts that fit perfectly
- Programming and editing CNC programs to enhance production efficiency
- Working with a diverse range of machines, including Victor, Mazak, DMG, Takisawa, and Hartford
- Collaborating with design engineers to streamline processes
- Supporting apprentices and contributing to a team-oriented environment
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workshop
- Adapting to flexible working hours that suit your lifestyle, including early starts, late finishes, and Saturday shifts
