About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Chef to join our team at the Royal New Zealand Air Force Base in Whenuapai, Auckland. This is a permanent part-time position, offering 20 hours of work per week over a flexible roster spanning 7 days.
Requirements
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in high-volume industrial kitchens. You should be capable of working independently while also supervising a small team. A background in trade training related to catering, along with completion of a Food Hygiene course, is essential. Additionally, a solid understanding of general kitchen activities is required.
What You Will Be Doing
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of every dish served. Your duties will include preparing, cooking, and serving food for buffets, a cook-to-order menu, and various functions as needed. Being an adaptable team player in the kitchen is crucial. You will also assist with stocktaking and perform general kitchen cleaning duties.
