About the Role
We are currently seeking a Centre Cook to join our wonderful team at our Hobsonville centre. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, balanced, and delicious meals for our children. We value creativity and encourage our staff to explore new and engaging ways to enhance our culinary offerings.
You will work in a spacious kitchen located within a beautifully restored historic building, catering to the daily needs of 75 children. Our team is welcoming, friendly, and supportive, and we collaborate to ensure that we provide the best possible nutrition and learning environment for our children. With working hours from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, this position offers an excellent work/life balance.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Food Safety Certificate and a relevant cooking qualification. We are looking for someone with proven experience in managing budgets and a strong understanding of catering for food allergies and intolerances. It is essential to uphold high health and safety standards in the kitchen. A passion for working with children is crucial, as you will often engage with them directly, teaching and involving them in the cooking and serving processes.
