    Healthcare Assistant - Huntleigh Home - Part Time About the Company At Enliven, we are dedicated to creating age-friendly communities where individuals can thrive, regardless of their age or abilities. Huntleigh Home is a vibrant environment featuring shared spaces such as lounges and courtyards, where residents engage in reading, socializing, hosting visitors, and participating in various recreational activities. A standout feature of our home is the Trading Post, a shop and café run by residents and volunteers, where lively conversations take place and community connections flourish. About the Role As a Healthcare Assistant at Huntleigh Home, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents with their daily living and social needs. Your responsibilities will include encouraging residents to maintain their independence and make informed decisions. This part-time position requires a commitment of at least 24 hours per week from Sunday to Wednesday, with shifts of 6 hours per day on a rotating roster that includes both morning and afternoon shifts, with no night shifts required. Your key responsibilities will include: - Delivering the highest standard of personalized care to each resident - Supporting residents in maintaining their independence and decision-making - Assisting with daily living activities in alignment with the Eden principles and Domains of Wellbeing - Taking instruction and tasks from the Registered Nurse - Attending to residents' needs effectively and in a timely manner We utilize a fixed roster system, allowing you to plan ahead while also welcoming flexibility for picking up additional shifts as needed. About You We are looking for someone who is passionate about the wellbeing of older individuals, possesses enthusiasm, patience, and strong organizational skills, and has excellent interpersonal abilities. You should align with our core values of empathy, compassion, and respect. In addition, you will have: - A minimum of a Careerforce Level 2 Health and Wellbeing Certificate or higher - Previous experience in aged care or a healthcare assistant/support worker role - The ability to work effectively as part of a team - Good verbal communication and documentation skills - Basic computer skills Benefits Working with Enliven offers you the chance to gain nationally recognized qualifications in Health and Wellbeing while being part of a dedicated team providing high-quality care to our residents.
