About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Miramar. In this full-time position, you will work Tuesday to Saturday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Our bespoke service supports three guests, each on their own unique journey. One of our guests requires specialized care due to complex physical and mental health needs, including the use of a wheelchair and manual handling equipment.

As a Support Worker, your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting individuals with budgeting
- Taking comprehensive notes and providing handovers
- Supporting individuals in regaining their mental health and independence
- Delivering culturally competent care
- Aiding with independent daily living skills
- Assisting with cleaning, cooking, gardening, and other household tasks
While our guests are asleep, you will engage in other important tasks, including cleaning and assisting day shifts with maintaining filing systems, first aid kits, emergency kits, and preparing paperwork.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- A current full New Zealand driver's license
- A current first aid certificate or a willingness to obtain one
- The New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) Level 4 or a recognized equivalent, or you should be currently studying towards this qualification
