About the Role
We are looking for a full-time Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will work directly with tangata whai ora (people seeking wellness) to help them achieve and maintain optimal health through effective dietetic support, education, and clinical expertise.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing dietetic services to tangata whai ora within Pathways' programs, including group nutrition education, individual consultations, and nutrition care planning in various settings.
- Utilizing health metrics, personal goals, and physical health checklists with a trauma-informed perspective.
- Collaborating with the broader healthcare team to ensure the best nutrition outcomes for tangata whai ora.
- Creating and maintaining a healthy eating environment across Pathways services by offering nutrition education to staff and developing service menus.
You will report to the Team Coach, who will guide and support you in delivering exceptional care to our community. This position operates Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, covering our services in the Wellington area.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A genuine interest in or experience assisting individuals with mental health issues in achieving their potential through support that enhances both mental health and physical wellbeing.
- A full, clean New Zealand driver's license.
- Current New Zealand registration as a Dietitian.
- A current practicing certificate.
- A commitment to the principles of trauma-informed care.
- Experience in mental health is preferred but not mandatory.
