    Project Manager - Hospital, Nelson Hospital, Fixed Term Fulltime We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Project Manager at Nelson Hospital. This role presents a chance to enhance operational efficiency and significantly improve the patient experience. Our forward-thinking team is dedicated to optimizing hospital processes to create a smoother patient journey. Your expertise will play a crucial role in reshaping how we deliver care through Project Whakatupuranga, which focuses on redefining hospital workflows to meet our community's evolving needs. About the Role As the Project Manager for the hospital, you will lead and implement changes aimed at optimizing hospital flow. This involves collaboration with both clinical and operational teams to enhance overall efficiency and reduce obstacles throughout the patient journey. This is a fixed-term, full-time position for a duration of 24 months, requiring 80 hours of work per fortnight (1.0 FTE), from Monday to Friday. There will be no on-call duties associated with this role. About the Team/Service/Location Joining Project Whakatupuranga, the redevelopment initiative at Nelson Hospital, means you will be directly contributing to a brighter future for our community. This project aims to improve access to modern healthcare models for our changing population. As a member of this team, you will help shape a design that integrates streamlined processes and advanced technology, ultimately enhancing the experience for patients, their families, and staff across Te Tau Ihu (Top of the South) for generations to come. About You We are looking for a Project Manager who possesses strong interpersonal skills for relationship building, high levels of motivation and initiative, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. You should be adaptable to changing circumstances and be able to navigate unexpected challenges. Experience in managing complex healthcare projects is essential, along with familiarity with project management methodologies such as PMP or PRINCE2. Additionally, candidates must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid New Zealand work visa at the time of application.
