About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Caregiver to step into a House Lead position. In this leadership role, you will guide and support a self-led caregiving team, ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with our Registered Nurse team to offer coaching, direction, and day-to-day leadership.
- Serving as the first point of contact for roster changes, absences, and leave requests.
- Arranging and facilitating team meetings, as well as assisting with resident and family meetings.
- Welcoming and orienting new caregivers to ensure they feel included from their first day.
You will receive support from a dedicated senior team as you help us embody our Eden Philosophy, which prioritizes the needs and well-being of our residents.
About You
We are looking for a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of three years of caregiving experience, with a Level 4 NZ Health & Wellbeing qualification preferred or in progress.
- Experience in dementia care.
- Confidence in using computers along with strong administrative skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Empathy, resilience, and a "firm but fair" approach to leadership.
- Strong time management skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand permanently.
- Availability to work the hours specified in the job listing.
