About the Role
We are excited to announce a newly created position for a Resident Services Manager at James Wattie Retirement Village. In this full-time role, you will work Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with some flexibility required for on-call responsibilities.
As the Resident Services Manager, you will lead the effective delivery of our village service functions, which encompass our kitchen, housekeeping, gardening, maintenance, laundry, and administration teams. You will also oversee all risk management and health and safety processes within the village. Additionally, you will handle human resource tasks, including inductions, recruitment, training, performance reviews, and payroll assistance. In the absence of the Village Manager, you will provide essential leadership at the Village.
Requirements
To excel in this dynamic role, you should possess proven management experience, preferably with a background in health and safety. You will need to be adept at managing conflicting priorities and enjoy building meaningful relationships with staff, residents, and their families. A comprehensive understanding of continuous improvement systems and processes is essential, along with a strong emphasis on customer service. Outstanding communication skills—both professional and empathetic—are a must.
