About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Manager to oversee the daily operations and long-term strategic direction of both business units. This is a crucial leadership position that involves operational oversight, logistical coordination, staff supervision, and business development.
Key Responsibilities
Courier and Delivery Services (Primary Focus):
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the operational activities of the courier division.
- Develop and implement efficient delivery routes, schedules, and fleet management strategies.
- Monitor and manage driver performance, delivery KPIs, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with transport safety regulations and company policies.
- Liaise with clients to manage expectations and enhance service delivery.
Grocery Store Operations:
- Provide logistical and operational support to the grocery store, particularly in managing incoming and outgoing deliveries and inter-site transport.
- Coordinate inventory flow and assist store management in rostering, stock management, and customer service oversight.
- Supervise delivery-related staff and support recruitment and training across departments.
Management & Strategic Functions:
- Develop and monitor budgets, operational plans, and performance reports for both business units.
- Lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional teams.
- Identify business growth opportunities and enhance operational efficiency.
- Implement policies and procedures aimed at improving productivity and customer experience.
Requirements
- A relevant tertiary qualification in business management, logistics, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
- Proven experience in a managerial or operational leadership role, ideally within logistics and retail.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to manage budgets, resources, and teams effectively.
- A clean New Zealand full driver’s license is essential.
