About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on, customer-focused Branch Manager to oversee our South Island operations from our Christchurch location. This role is crucial as you will lead the regional sales cycle, develop and maintain strong customer relationships, and ensure that our branch operations run smoothly on a daily basis.
In this position, you will combine sales leadership with operational oversight. You will manage a small team, handle inventory and workflow, and engage directly with merchants, joiners, and construction professionals to drive business growth. You will also collaborate closely with key accounts, follow up on leads, and ensure your region operates profitably.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who have proven leadership experience in building products, operations, or related trades. A background in joinery, cabinetry, or the trade sector is highly preferred.
Strong sales acumen is essential, as you will need to design and execute a comprehensive sales cycle and win business through a consultative approach. A willingness to travel across the South Island to engage with both new and existing customers is required. Additionally, you should possess operational knowledge, with confidence in managing stock, workflow, production, and budgets.
You will thrive in this role if you are energized by the prospect of being on the road and building face-to-face relationships. Being commercially savvy and organized, with a passion for service and follow-through, is vital.
