About the Role We are currently seeking efficient and flexible Radiographic Assistants to join our team in the Radiology Department at Waipapa Hospital. This role offers a diverse range of responsibilities for individuals who are passionate about patient care and are eager to advance their careers in healthcare. While the primary location of work will be at Waipapa campus, the position may also involve shifts at our Burwood and Christchurch Women’s campuses. Our service operates from 7 am to 11 pm, Monday to Sunday, so flexibility in your availability is essential as you may be required to work across various teams and departments. This position is dynamic and will provide a stimulating work environment. Key Responsibilities - Interacting with patients in person and responding to inquiries over the phone - Inputting patient details into our systems - Organizing inpatient appointments - Assisting patients in various capacities - Supporting Medical Radiation Technologists (MRTs), Sonographers, and Registrars About You The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and exceptional organizational abilities. A natural team player, you should be able to see the bigger picture and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. - Experience in customer service is essential - Confidence in using computer systems is desirable - Knowledge of the health sector is beneficial, though no prior radiology experience or qualifications are required - A genuine passion for the field of Radiology and a commitment to patient care are crucial Working for Health New Zealand At Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, we believe in "the weaving of wellnesses."
