About the Role
We are currently seeking full-time carpenters to join our team and support various project work across New Zealand. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on commercial, residential, and infrastructure construction sites, with assignments determined by project requirements. This position is ideal for experienced carpenters who are open to relocating or traveling as necessary.
Pay and Benefits
We offer competitive compensation ranging from $25.00 to $40.00 per hour, with a minimum guarantee of 30 hours per week. These are full-time, permanent positions. We provide personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools where required, and we also offer travel or relocation support on a case-by-case basis.
Key Responsibilities
As a carpenter with us, your key responsibilities will include:
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings
- Performing formwork, framing, cladding, and finishing work
- Constructing, installing, and repairing structures
- Maintaining health and safety standards on-site
- Working on rotating project sites throughout the country
Skills and Experience Required
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
- A minimum of two years of experience in carpentry or a relevant occupation, or a level 4 qualification
- The ability to work independently and adapt to new environments
- A strong work ethic and a commitment to safety
Nationwide Opportunity and Travel
While this role is listed in Hawke's Bay, we are actively recruiting for positions that will be deployed across all regions of New Zealand based on project needs. This includes areas in both the North Island (such as Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, and Wellington) and the South Island (including Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, and Southland). We invite applicants from any of these regions, and you must be willing to travel or relocate as necessary. The company will cover relocation costs.
