About the Role
We are currently seeking individuals for the position of Traffic Management Operative (TMO). This role is integral to ensuring safety and compliance on roadwork sites. As a TMO, you will have the opportunity to advance to Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) and beyond.
The position requires a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 6 AM and 6 PM, with the potential for additional hours or days as needed. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reading and interpreting Traffic Management Plans (TMP) and loading trucks
- Ensuring that plant and equipment are maintained and operational
- Operating plant and equipment safely and efficiently
- Completing documentation accurately and punctually
- Communicating professionally with team members and stakeholders
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A safety-first mindset for yourself, your team, and the public
- A Restricted or Full New Zealand Driver's License Class 1 (essential)
- A TMO license (beneficial)
- Reliability, punctuality, and motivation
- Excellent communication skills
- A high level of physical fitness
- A team-oriented attitude
