About the Role We are currently seeking experienced Steel Fixers for immediate and ongoing positions across the country. These full-time, permanent roles guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week, with site locations determined by project needs. This opportunity is perfect for individuals with proven experience in structural reinforcement who are open to relocating or traveling as necessary. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting engineering plans and drawings to accurately cut, bend, and place steel bars and mesh. You will tie rebar using the correct techniques for various reinforcement systems, ensuring that steel is placed and secured within formwork before concrete pours. Compliance with health, safety, and quality standards is essential, as is the ability to work efficiently in large construction teams under strict deadlines. Skills and Experience Required We are looking for candidates with a minimum of three years of experience in steel fixing or reinforcing steel, whether in New Zealand or overseas. The ideal applicant will have the ability to read and work from technical drawings, possess strong physical fitness, and pay close attention to detail. Experience in commercial, civil, or infrastructure projects is preferred. Relevant trade experience or qualifications will be considered an advantage.
