About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Consultant Psychiatrist to join our clinical and cultural team at Lotofale - Pacific Mental Health Services. This role is an integral part of our clinical leadership model, which places clinical service leaders at the forefront of decision-making. Our goal is to ensure that accountability is closely aligned with our service users, emphasizing clinical, cultural, quality, safety, and health outcomes while maintaining economic sustainability.
About the Team/Service/Location
Lotofale operates within the Auckland metropolitan area and is dedicated to providing high-quality mental health care to Pasifika individuals and their families. Our team is composed of both Pasifika and non-Pasifika professionals, including clinicians, cultural support workers, and matua's. Together, we are committed to supporting Pasifika communities on their recovery journeys.
We focus on holistic healing, employing a family-centered approach to care that addresses cultural, spiritual, physical, and mental dimensions. Our aim is to achieve the highest standards of cultural-clinical care and improve health outcomes for our Pasifika communities. Please note that this role includes participation in the adult mental health Consultant on-call roster.
About You
We are looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:
- Vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, with a current Annual Practice Certificate or eligibility for one.
- A Post Graduate qualification in Psychiatry is preferred.
