About the Role
We are seeking a Cardiologist to join our team in Gisborne, New Zealand. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a chance to make a meaningful impact in our community while enjoying a competitive salary and relocation support. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct face-to-face patient clinics, providing comprehensive assessments and management plans for a range of cardiac conditions.
- Participate in echo reading sessions, contributing to the diagnostic and treatment processes for patients.
- Support nursing staff and collaborate with general medicine teams in managing complex cardiac cases.
- Provide in-hospital consultations, addressing acute and ongoing cardiac needs.
- Engage with Waikato, the tertiary center, for service development and support, ensuring best practices are upheld in our region.
- If you are an interventional cardiologist, you will have the opportunity to maintain your interventional skills by performing procedures at a partnering hospital.
Work Hours:
This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with no on-call or weekend responsibilities.

About You
To be eligible for this position, you will need:
- A medical degree and board certification in Cardiology.

- A desire to work in a community-focused environment and address the specific health needs of the population.
