    Project Manager (PATH), Nelson Hospital, Fixed Term Full-time This is an exciting opportunity to have a meaningful impact on the well-being of the Te Tau Ihu community by contributing to the development of a modern hospital that will benefit generations to come. We are seeking a proactive and innovative Project Manager to join our forward-thinking team, which is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of healthcare delivery through the integration of national models of care and advanced technology. In this role, your skills will play a crucial part in making a tangible and lasting difference in our community. About the Role As a Project Manager (PATH), you will lead and implement transformative changes by collaborating closely with clinical and operational teams. Your primary focus will be ensuring a seamless transition for patients into programs such as Hospital in the Home, expanded community rehabilitation services, and criteria-led discharge pathways. This is a fixed-term, full-time position for 24 months, requiring you to work 80 hours per fortnight (1.0) from Monday to Friday. There is no on-call requirement for this role. About the Team/Service/Location Working on Project Whakatupuranga, the redevelopment of Nelson Hospital, means you will be directly contributing to a brighter future for our community. This project aims to enhance access to modern healthcare models for our evolving population. As a member of this team, you will be instrumental in shaping designs that integrate streamlined processes and advanced technology, ultimately enriching the experience for patients, their whanau, and staff across Te Tau Ihu (Top of the South) for generations to come. About You To excel as a Project Manager (PATH), you should: - Be highly organized and results-oriented - Have a passion for sustainable change - Demonstrate high levels of motivation, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively - Be skilled in identifying risks and providing effective solutions - Adapt to changing situations and unexpected challenges - Have experience managing complex healthcare projects - Be familiar with PMP or PRINCE2 methodologies The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or possess a valid New Zealand work visa at the time of application.
