About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled leader to join our team as the head of the facility's clinical team. In this role, you will inspire and motivate your team to maintain our high standards of care. You will ensure that all clinical staff receive proper orientation and ongoing training, promoting a safe and supportive environment for our residents. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining compliance with the Health & Disability Sector Standards.
Your duties will include providing orientation and self-directed learning packages to new staff, ensuring completion of necessary documentation and checklists for new employees, and professionally managing our database and waiting list to ensure high levels of consumer contact. You will also oversee the completion of reporting requirements and the clinical manager's orientation checklist, ensuring that clinical staff are well-trained and aware of clinical risks and reporting procedures. Furthermore, you will design staff rosters to optimize the use of staffing and resources.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, we prefer candidates with a minimum of three years of experience in aged care. A current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) is essential. Experience in clinical or management roles within a continuing care hospital facility is highly desirable.
We are looking for individuals with strong management and administration skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills that demonstrate empathy for the elderly and their families. Effective written and verbal communication skills are also a must.
