About the Role
We are currently seeking a House Leader to join our team in South Auckland. This full-time position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with a salary range of $23.50 to $29.10 per hour, in addition to a House Leader Allowance.
In this role, you will combine support work with team leadership, engaging and motivating your support team within the home. You will work closely with your Service Coordinator to supervise operations, ensuring we deliver efficient and effective services to the individuals we support in our community homes.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience leading a team, with a strong ability to coach and develop individuals
- Effective report writing skills
- Experience in organizing and allocating rosters
- Familiarity with balancing general ledgers
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage supportively with the individuals we assist, their families, and your coordinator
- Physical fitness to participate in various activities, including sports, community engagement, recreational activities, and personal care
Additionally, candidates should have:
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities and/or challenging behaviors
- Reliability, commitment, and a passion for working with people
- A valid driver's license
- A relevant qualification
- Proficiency in using a computer and common software such as Word, Internet Explorer, and email
If you are a non-resident applying for this role, you must meet the following INZ Level 3 skill requirements:
- Have worked in the care workforce for 24 months or more, earning at least the care workforce wage rate during that time, or
- Hold a relevant qualification on the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (NZQCF), which must be at least a Level 4 qualification for a role at skill level 3, or a diploma for a role at skill level 2.
