About the Role
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Workshop Foreman to join our team at our Palmerston North workshop. We are seeking a hands-on individual, either an experienced Foreman or a senior mechanic, who will lead our workshop team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our diverse fleet of buses and coaches, including cutting-edge electric vehicles, are road-ready and operating smoothly for daily service.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience, including mentoring apprentices.
- Strong skills in fault diagnosis and repair.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong organizational skills, with the capacity to manage administrative tasks such as payroll and fleet maintenance systems.
- A team-oriented attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond when necessary.
