Pay Rate: $33–$35 per hour
Hours: 30 hours per week
K & K 2025 Limited is a well-established and vibrant dining destination in Christchurch. We are currently seeking a motivated Restaurant Manager to join our team. This is a full-time position with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week.

About the Role
As the Restaurant Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our restaurant. Your responsibilities will include overseeing both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, leading the team, ensuring customer satisfaction, managing inventory, and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
You will oversee the daily operations of the restaurant to guarantee efficiency and high service standards. This includes coordinating menu planning with the chefs and managing staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
Additionally, you will manage reservations, floor plans, and table allocations to optimize flow and enhance customer satisfaction. It is essential to monitor and maintain restaurant cleanliness, presentation, and ambiance.
Leading, training, and motivating both front-of-house and kitchen teams to consistently deliver outstanding service will be a key part of your role. You will also be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members while promoting teamwork and open communication among staff.
Resolving any customer issues or complaints in a professional and efficient manner will be part of your daily tasks. You will need to monitor budgets, sales, and cost targets to drive profitability. Furthermore, overseeing inventory control, ordering, and supplier management will be necessary to ensure adequate stock and cost efficiency. Developing and implementing promotional activities to increase sales will also fall under your purview. Lastly, you will ensure all operations comply with company policies, food safety standards, and health and safety legislation.
Requirements
To qualify for this role, you should have a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Alternatively, a minimum of three years of relevant work experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
We are looking for candidates with strong leadership and team management capabilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a highly organized approach with strong problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail is crucial, as is the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A passion for hospitality, customer service, and creating memorable dining experiences is essential. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays is also required.
