About the Role
We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Cardiology Cath Labs team as a Charge Nurse Manager. In this role, you will coordinate nursing activities within the Cath Labs and Cardiology Day Ward, promoting excellence in nursing care while collaborating with Service/Nursing Leadership and other leaders across the Cardiology Service.
Key responsibilities of the Charge Nurse Manager include:
- Managing daily operations, patient flow, and coordination of nursing resources during weekdays with no on-call component.
- Providing leadership and guidance to nursing staff.
- Ensuring orientation and support for new team members.
About the Service
Our service provides both acute and planned cardiac care at a local and regional level. Currently, we operate two catheter labs, with plans underway to expand our services to include a third lab shortly. This expansion will bring about changes in our models of care.
About You
We are seeking a confident nursing leader who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Senior nursing experience with recent cardiology or medical expertise.
- Advanced clinical knowledge and strong leadership skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex situations effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
- Confidence in working independently as well as within multidisciplinary teams.
- The capability to build strong working relationships.
- Competence in computer and documentation skills.
- A relevant Post Graduate qualification.
- Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
