About the Role
We are seeking a Specialist Otolaryngologist (ORL) and Head and Neck Surgeon to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis (0.5 FTE). In this role, you will leverage your clinical expertise to deliver exceptional care to patients in the Waitemata Health region. This position will involve managing dedicated elective clinic and theatre sessions across both hospital sites, as well as participating in the regional after-hours and weekend on-call duties to address acute ORL presentations at Auckland City Hospital.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced ORL surgeon with comprehensive training and a keen interest in various sub-specialties, including Laryngology and Head and Neck surgery. You will be supported by our senior leadership team, including our Clinical Director for ORL and Operations Manager. Collaboration within a multicultural team is vital, and we value the contributions of all team members.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Fellowship of the Royal Surgical Colleges (FRSC) or equivalent
- Eligibility for Specialist registration with the New Zealand Medical Council
- Strong clinical skills in the management and delivery of ORL care
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment
- Commitment to providing high standards of care to patients and their families
