About the Role
We are currently seeking a permanent Anatomical Pathologist to join our Surgical Pathology Unit. This unit provides histology and cytology services for North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals, as well as BreastScreen Waitemata Northland and BreastScreen Auckland Central. Our IANZ accredited department is well-equipped and processes approximately 57,000 specimens annually from around 30,000 patients across various specialties, including gastroenterology, breast, gynaecology, genito-urinary, skin, and head and neck. While full-time availability is preferred, we are open to negotiations regarding work hours.
About the Team
Our team consists of 12 full-time equivalent specialist Anatomical Pathologists who work as generalists with specific areas of subspecialty interest. The department is also involved in the registrar rotation for the Auckland training scheme. Experience in cytopathology is preferred for this role.
About You
The ideal candidate will hold current registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand and The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA).
