About the Role
As a scaffolder with OneStaff, you will play a crucial role in the dismantling and erection of temporary metal scaffolding to create work platforms and structures on various building and industrial sites. Your responsibilities will include:
- Determining job requirements by planning and arranging scaffolding.
- Selecting and preparing the necessary materials for each job.
- Loading and unloading scaffolding and equipment at the work site.
- Erecting scaffold structures by lifting, positioning, and bolting sections together.
- Establishing platforms and implementing safety measures.
- Inspecting scaffolding for safety and making repairs as needed.
- Fixing guard rails and safety netting.
- Keeping the workspace, equipment, and tools clean.
- Adhering to health and safety requirements.
- Performing any other duties as assigned.
The pay range for this position is a minimum of $29.66 per hour to a maximum of $34.00 per hour, depending on your experience. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours of work each week.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 2.5 years of relevant scaffolding experience or a relevant qualification.
- A friendly demeanor, strong time management skills, and an excellent work ethic.
- Flexibility to work in various locations across the country.
- A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry.
- A strong focus on health and safety practices on-site.
- Reliability and a hardworking attitude.
Location
You may be required to work in multiple locations throughout New Zealand, including Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland.
This is a permanent, full-time role. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or residents, or hold a valid New Zealand work visa.
