We are proud to partner with GHP Law in recruiting a Legal Executive for their expanding team based in Dunedin. About the Role
In this role, you will join a team of five dedicated Legal Executives and Administrators. The position has arisen due to the firm's ongoing growth, and you will play a pivotal part in supporting the team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Document Preparation: Drafting legal documents such as leases, subdivision documents, agreements, deeds, and probate applications.
- Conveyancing and LINZ Work: Managing Land Online e-dealings (LINZ), which involves conducting title and interest searches and supporting conveyancing transactions.
- Client Correspondence and Matter Progression: Preparing letters, emails, and legal documents to facilitate the advancement of client matters across property and estate law.
- Legal Support and Research: Conducting document searches (e.g., Companies Office), proofreading legal content, and reviewing legal documents for accuracy.
- Practice Development: Assisting in the creation of legal templates and contributing to the enhancement of legal practice systems.
- Billing and Administration: Preparing tax invoices and statements in accordance with client matters and firm processes.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, demonstrating confidence in collaborating with colleagues, clients, and third parties, as well as working independently when necessary. You should have excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively. A proactive approach and a commitment to excellence are essential.
- A minimum of three years of experience in conveyancing.
- Familiarity with legal software and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- While a relevant qualification is advantageous, it is not a requirement.
