About the Role
We are seeking a Skilled Asphalt Labourer to join one of Christchurch's leading civil works companies. This full-time, temporary role offers immediate start opportunities for individuals who are hands-on, reliable, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a member of our team, you will have the chance to operate cutting-edge machinery and contribute to transforming Christchurch's roads through various asphalt-related tasks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Relaying, repairing potholes, and laying asphalt to enhance the quality of local roads.
- Supporting the asphalt crew with hand-laying, raking, shoveling, and operating rollers or paving machines, if licensed and experienced.
- Maintaining clean job sites and assisting with truck deliveries to ensure smooth operations.
- Participating in general labor tasks to keep projects on track.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Experience: Proven skills in asphalt or civil works, demonstrating a strong work ethic and dedication to quality.
- Licenses: A full car license is required, while a Class 2 license and/or WTR endorsement is highly advantageous.
- Physical Fitness: Candidates should be strong, fit, and ready for hands-on manual labor.
- Team Spirit: We value reliable, punctual team players who contribute positively to the crew environment.
- Integrity: A drug-free lifestyle is essential, as we trust you to bring your best to the team.
- Transport: A reliable means of transportation to work is necessary.
