We are currently seeking experienced scaffolders to join our team for multiple roles throughout the Canterbury region. Our projects often require flexibility, as you may be asked to work across various locations in New Zealand.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for dismantling temporary metal scaffolding, providing essential work platforms and structures for building and industrial sites. Your duties will include:
- Planning and arranging scaffolding to meet job requirements.
- Selecting and preparing necessary materials for each job.
- Loading and unloading scaffolding and equipment on-site.
- Erecting scaffold structures by lifting and positioning sections and bolting pipes together.
- Establishing safe platforms and implementing safety measures.
- Inspecting scaffolding for safety, making repairs as needed to ensure stability.
- Installing guard rails and safety netting.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the workspace, equipment, and tools.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Performing any other duties as assigned.
Pay Conditions
The pay range for this position is a minimum of $29.66 per hour, up to a maximum of $34.00 per hour, depending on your experience. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours of work weekly.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:
- A minimum of 2.5 years of relevant scaffolding experience or a relevant qualification.
- A friendly demeanor, strong time management skills, and an excellent work ethic.
- Flexibility to work in various locations across New Zealand.
- A commitment to continuous learning and skill development within the industry.
- A dedication to health and safety practices on-site.
- Reliability and a hardworking attitude.
Location
You may be required to work in multiple locations throughout New Zealand, including Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland.
This is a permanent, full-time role. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or residents, or hold a valid New Zealand work visa.
