About the Role
We are currently seeking a Team Leader for our Columbus Cafe on a permanent part-time basis, working approximately 25 hours per week. In this role, you will report directly to the Cafe Manager and will play a crucial part in maximizing sales and fostering a strong team culture.
As a Team Leader, you will deliver excellent leadership, manage stock control, and ensure outstanding customer service. We are looking for a driven and energetic individual with a proven track record, who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your leadership skills while collaborating with a passionate and enthusiastic team.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be accountable for the following:
- Ensuring that customers are the top priority, receiving the high standard of service they deserve.
- Developing and leading your team to achieve their best.
- Promoting a team culture that encourages a positive working environment.
- Managing the front-of-house point-of-sale operations and maintaining general standards within the Cafe.
- Contributing to the overall success of the Cafe by actively supporting initiatives and processes.
- Performing other duties as required.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, candidates should possess the following attributes:
- A minimum of 2 years of Barista experience.
- Prior supervisory experience in a cafe setting.
- The ability to work collaboratively and provide direction and leadership to the team.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to think ahead and offer innovative solutions.
- A passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- Basic computer skills.
- The capability to manage a varied and busy workload.
- A reasonable degree of physical fitness and ability.
- Effective time management skills.
- A positive and professional attitude.
- A commitment to honesty and fairness in all areas of work.
- An understanding of the importance of teamwork.
- A drive to strive for excellence in all tasks.
Please note that this role is part-time, with approximately 25 hours of work per week. Weekend availability is required for this position.
