About the Role In this role, you will be immersed in a hands-on mechanical workshop environment, working alongside experienced tradespeople. Your initial tasks will primarily involve assembly and basic machine operation. Throughout your time with us, you will gain practical experience using various workshop equipment, including mills, lathes, CNC machines, and grinders. You will also have the opportunity to learn how to read and interpret technical drawings, which will guide your work. Alongside your core responsibilities, you will assist with general workshop duties, all while acquiring the skills necessary for a successful career in the mechanical trade. This position provides valuable on-the-job training, with the potential for the right candidate to transition into an apprenticeship. Requirements To be considered for this role, you should have either completed a pre-trade mechanical course or possess entry-level workshop experience. A strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn are essential. We are looking for individuals with a genuine interest in engineering or mechanical trades, as well as the ambition to pursue an apprenticeship opportunity. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail are important, as is a reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious attitude. Benefits In return for your hard work, we offer a competitive starting rate of $25 per hour, along with paid overtime.
