About the Role
We are currently seeking a full-time, permanent CNC Machine Operator to work in the Auckland region. The position offers an hourly rate ranging from $28.00 to $34.00, depending on your skills and experience. Our schedule runs from Monday to Friday, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week.
As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the following:
- Reading blueprints and job orders to determine product specifications and tooling instructions, and planning operational sequences accordingly.
- Identifying the necessary tools and their requirements, as well as defining the operational sequence.
- Setting up woodworking machinery and preparing raw wood materials for cutting, shaping, and sanding.
- Preparing pattern mechanisms to control machine operations for detailed production patterns.
- Cutting, shaping, and forming wood stock to fine tolerances, ensuring the product is ready for subsequent use.
- Applying varnish, stain, and paint to surfaces, followed by polishing and waxing the finished products.
- Assisting with general manufacturing tasks, including polishing machines and supporting factory work on ongoing projects.
- Observing machine operations to detect any defects or malfunctions, making necessary adjustments as required.
- Performing general machine maintenance and fulfilling other relevant duties as assigned by the employer.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you should have at least two years of relevant work experience, or possess a relevant Level 4 certificate or equivalent qualification. Additionally, applicants must have New Zealand residency or a valid New Zealand work visa.
