We are Tu Maia, a dedicated Youth Forensic Team operating from the Greenlane Clinical Centre. Our mission is to provide specialized services for young individuals in the Auckland and Waitemata catchment areas. We work in partnership with local youth forensic teams across Counties Manukau and Northland, ensuring that our clients receive the support and expertise they need.

About the Role
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Clinical Team Leader to join our leadership team. This full-time, permanent position involves providing clinical and operational leadership to a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians. You will work alongside a lead clinician and a clinical coordinator, reporting to the Service Clinical Director and Operations Manager.
The team consists of mental health professionals from various disciplines, including psychiatry, psychology, social work, occupational therapy, psychotherapy, nursing, and cultural advisors. Your role will encompass both clinical responsibilities and leadership/management duties.
Key Responsibilities
As the Clinical Team Leader, you will oversee a range of services, including:
- In-reach support to secure residences in South Auckland.
- Interventions for young people within the community.
- Preparation of court-ordered clinical and cultural reports.
- Conducting triage assessments and providing advice within the supra regional youth courts.
- Facilitating admissions for rangatahi to the National secure youth forensic inpatient unit.
- Liaising with Youth Coordination Teams, which include representatives from various agencies such as the Police, Ministry of Education, mental health services, and Oranga Tamariki.
Requirements
We are looking for a self-motivated and conscientious leader with a strong clinical focus and a commitment to service users. Ideal candidates will possess:
- A positive attitude and flexibility.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with staff, service users, and their families.
- Experience working collaboratively at a senior clinical level with clients and community agencies to promote recovery.
We welcome applications from experienced New Zealand registered Mental Health Nurses, Clinical Psychologists, Registered Psychotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Social Workers. A full and clean driver's license is also required.
