At Te Rua Mahara o te Kāwanatanga Archives New Zealand, we are dedicated to ensuring effective and trusted government record-keeping that benefits all New Zealanders. We manage and preserve over seven million official records, ranging from 19th-century treaties to 21st-century documents and data. About the Role
We are currently seeking a Project Manager to oversee a significant project involving the relocation of our archival holdings in Wellington. The Wellington office houses 80 kilometers of archival materials, which are expected to be moved to a new building over an 18-month period. In this fixed-term position, which runs until August 2026, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the project, ensuring all deliverables are met, and managing the project team effectively.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5 years of project management experience
- Proven experience in leading complex logistics within a property or government context
- A strong comfort level working in an environment where tikanga Māori is deeply integrated
- Highly effective stakeholder management skills
- PRINCE2 or PMP Certification
