About the Role
We are seeking a Pacific Peoples Relationships Lead to join our Survivor Experiences Services team within the Partnerships and Commissions branch. In this fixed-term, full-time position based in Wellington, you will play a vital role in building and maintaining relationships with Pacific communities, organisations, and advocacy groups. Your efforts will help raise awareness of our services and foster trust among Pacific Survivors.
As the Pacific Peoples Relationships Lead, you will collaborate with other Survivor-facing teams to establish effective connections with Survivors and their communities. You will provide strategic advice to enhance the accessibility and effectiveness of our services for Pacific Survivors, ensuring their needs are prioritized and met.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should possess demonstrable experience and skills in the following areas:
- Developing a comprehensive strategy for relationship development tailored to the unique needs of Pacific Survivors.
- Engaging effectively with Pacific communities, including Survivors, their whānau, advocates, and support networks.
- Building relationships within cross-agency Pacific People’s working groups.
- Capturing insights from Pacific Peoples to inform practice improvements in an accessible manner.
- Creating meaningful communications and materials for Pacific Peoples.
- Providing expert advice to enhance service provision for Pacific Survivors, promoting their participation and access to our services.
Strong emotional resilience, sound judgment, and tact are essential, as you will be addressing complex and sensitive issues related to incarceration, faith, beliefs, and Pacific mental health.
