About the Role
We are seeking experienced Welder/Fabricators to join our team in Canterbury. This position is ideal for individuals who are confident in working with a range of welding methods and can handle both light and heavy fabrication tasks.
We are particularly interested in candidates who are proficient in MIG, TIG, and ARC welding, as well as working with various metals, including stainless steel. You will have the opportunity to engage in a wide range of welding and fabrication projects throughout Canterbury.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding and fabrication across diverse projects and materials
- Accurately read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Utilize various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and ARC
- Prepare and work with different metal stocks for fabrication
- Carry out both light and heavy fabrication work, including shaping, bending, and assembly
- Work with both structural and non-structural metals, including stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum
- Examine and finish welds to meet high-quality standards
- Join components through welding, bolting, or riveting as necessary
Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on welding and fabrication experience
- Proficiency in multiple welding techniques (MIG, TIG, ARC) and material types
- Experience with both light and heavy fabrication tasks
- Familiarity with stainless steel work is an advantage
- Trade qualifications are preferred, but strong practical experience will also be considered
- Own tools and reliable transport are required
- Ability to provide two work references
- A solid commitment to health and safety practices
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
