Our mission is to maintain tree health, promote public safety, and enhance outdoor spaces for communities and clients. We are currently looking for skilled and safety-conscious Qualified Arborists who are interested in relocating to New Zealand.
About the Role
As a professional tree specialist with us, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of trees. Your work will involve diagnosing tree health issues, including pest infestations and diseases, and providing expert pruning and trimming services using chainsaws, hand saws, and other specialized tools.
You will also be responsible for safely removing hazardous or unwanted trees, advising on tree planting based on site-specific factors, and identifying and mitigating tree-related hazards in both residential and public environments. Additionally, you will operate and maintain arboricultural equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and Elevated Work Platforms (EWPs), while always maintaining a strong focus on workplace safety and best practices.
Requirements
Candidates should possess a solid knowledge of tree biology, species identification, and soil conditions. Experience in diagnosing and treating pests and diseases is essential, alongside proficiency in tree climbing, rigging, and advanced felling techniques. You must be competent in using chainsaws and other machinery safely and efficiently, with a strong understanding of safety regulations and hazard mitigation.
Team leadership experience is highly beneficial, as there are generous opportunities for advancement into middle management roles in New Zealand.
Desirable qualifications include formal Arboriculture training or certification (such as the NZQA Certificate in Arboriculture or City & Guilds), an ISA Certified Arborist qualification (or a willingness to obtain one), and a Full Driver's License.
