About the Role We are currently seeking a skilled civil operator to join our dedicated team on a variety of infrastructure projects in North Christchurch. In this role, you will operate a range of machinery involved in trenching, drainage, and pipeline installations. You will have the opportunity to contribute to long-term projects within a supportive and safety-focused environment. Location: North Christchurch Start Date: Immediate start available Pay Rate: $30–35 per hour, paid weekly What You Will Be Doing In this position, you will be responsible for: - Operating civil machinery, including excavators, rollers, loaders, and pumps. - Completing tasks related to trenching, dewatering, drainage, and pipeline installation. - Assisting with ground preparation, backfilling, and site compaction. - Conducting daily pre-start checks and general maintenance of equipment. - Working from site plans and providing support to project supervisors. - Maintaining a clean, productive, and safe worksite. What You Will Need To be successful in this role, you should have: - Solid experience in operating machinery such as excavators, loaders, and rollers. - A minimum Class 2 driver's license; possessing a Class 4 or 5 license and tipper experience is a plus. - Proven skills in drainage and trenching, including dewatering and pipe laying. - The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test. - Readiness to start work immediately.
