About the Role
We are currently seeking skilled Final Trim Plant Operators to join our team for various civil projects throughout Christchurch. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing residential and commercial sites, including tasks related to kerbs, car parks, and full site scrapes. We are looking for experienced operators who can effectively operate machinery and complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
Our client is a well-established civil contractor known for having a solid pipeline of projects and a positive site culture.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in plant operation
- W, T, R endorsements
- Proven expertise in final trim work
- Physically fit and ready to work
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Full driver's license and reliable transport
- A solid understanding of site safety practices
- Site Safe or Construct Safe certification (we can assist you with obtaining this)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- All applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand

What You Will Be Doing
- Operating excavators, loaders, compactors, graders, and other plant machinery
- Performing final trim work on kerbs, car parks, and driveways
- Conducting site scrapes and preparation for both residential and commercial builds
- Engaging in small plant operation and manual labor as required
- Following Traffic Management Plans
- Conducting daily safety and maintenance checks
- Keeping machinery clean and ready for operation
