About the Role
We are currently seeking a full-time team leader to oversee a variety of sites across the North Island. This position involves both practical supervision and physical labour. The role will require some travel, typically in 2 to 3 week blocks, outside of Auckland.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Constructing timber, palisade, and concrete retaining walls
- Re-levelling, re-piling, and strengthening foundations
- Reading plans, marking out sites, and estimating materials
- Operating drills, piling gear, and other machinery
- Leading small on-site teams and managing daily workflow
- Procuring materials and ensuring site safety
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with solid hands-on experience and strong leadership abilities. The ideal applicant will possess:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in retaining and foundation work
- A strong attention to detail and commitment to site safety
- Confidence in reading plans and supervising teams
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- A full driver’s license with WTR endorsements
- LBP (Foundations) certification is preferred but not required
- A willingness to travel and stay away for job assignments
