About the Role
In the role of Field Production Manager (Traction – OLE), you will be responsible for the planning and execution of overhead line equipment maintenance across Auckland’s Metro network. You will oversee daily field operations, including routine, corrective, and preventive maintenance, while also managing isolation and Electrical Safety Observer (ESO) services. As a crucial liaison between frontline teams and the broader engineering, asset, and leadership groups, you will ensure that all work is conducted safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
This leadership position necessitates a blend of technical expertise, strong coordination abilities, and the capacity to guide, mentor, and motivate a diverse team. You will ensure that your crew is well-resourced and aligned with safety regulations, while consistently delivering outcomes that keep the network operational.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess a balanced mix of field experience, technical knowledge, and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in OLE installation and maintenance
- Strong team management and organizational skills
- A solid understanding of isolation and ESO systems
- A collaborative, safety-first mindset
- The ability to coach, mentor, and lead diverse teams
- Proficiency in managing resource allocation, planning, and reporting
It is also desirable to have:
- A tertiary qualification in engineering
- EWRB registration or a willingness to obtain it
