About the Role
We are currently seeking a full-time Respiratory Clinical Trial Associate to join our Respiratory Research team at Greenlane Clinical Centre for a fixed-term contract of 12 months. In this role, you will be responsible for the organization, planning, and implementation of research activities for assigned clinical trials. You will serve as the primary liaison among clinical trial sponsors, clinical personnel, and study participants, ensuring adherence to Good Clinical Practice principles, which prioritize participant safety and the integrity of research data.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing recruitment, obtaining consent (as delegated), and ensuring protocol delivery for research projects.
- Conducting data collection and entry in collaboration with medical and research staff.
- Serving as an educational resource for patients and their families regarding the research process.
- Ensuring compliance with International Conference of Harmonisation (ICH) and New Zealand Good Clinical Practice (NZ GCP) guidelines throughout the conduct of clinical trials.
- Assisting the Respiratory Research team with clinical trial activities, ensuring adherence to Te Toka Tumai's research policies and guidelines.
- Participating in the delivery of clinical trial interventions or procedures as directed by the Clinical Research Team Leader and/or Principal Investigators.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need to interact effectively with clinical trial participants, their families, and a multidisciplinary team while maintaining a professional and proactive approach. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical and research experience.
- At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- High proactivity in achieving required targets.
- A commitment to quality service delivery.
- A postgraduate qualification is desirable.
- Being a Registered Health Professional is an advantage.
