About the Role
We have multiple Caregiver positions available at Bob Owens Retirement Village in Bethlehem, Tauranga. We are looking for individuals who have a genuine empathy for the elderly and are dedicated to creating a wonderful living environment for our residents.
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:
- A Level 3 Health and Wellbeing certificate or equivalent with at least three years of relevant experience, or
- A Level 4 Health and Wellbeing certificate or equivalent.
This position requires a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week, which may include weekend shifts. Compensation for this role ranges from $27.88 to $31.16 per hour, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing care and personal needs assistance as outlined in care plans and under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
- Observing and promptly reporting any changes in a resident's status or behavior to the Registered Nurse or senior staff.
- Ensuring the safety, privacy, and comfort of residents at all times.
- Demonstrating understanding and compassion for residents by addressing their needs and offering support.
- Documenting care provided to residents in an objective and timely manner.
