About the Role We are currently seeking a dedicated Community Support Worker to provide care and companionship for a gentleman who values incorporating Christian faith into his daily life. This role is designed for someone who is resilient, energetic, and conscientious, and who feels comfortable engaging in Christian faith-based prayer with the service user. Responsibilities may include: - Providing spiritual support and engaging in prayer within a Christian faith-based environment - Assisting with personal care, including showering and bathing - Helping with household management and meal preparation - Supporting exercise programs - Assisting with community access - Providing bowel, bladder, and catheter care - Utilizing hoists and performing manual transfers - Offering medication support Job Location: Tauranga Employment Type: Part-Time We offer a variety of employment options, including casual, part-time, and full-time positions, which can be discussed further during the recruitment process. As this is community-based work, you will be involved in rotating rosters that include morning, evening, and weekend shifts. Your preferred hours can be discussed during the recruitment process, and the duration of these hours may vary depending on the specific needs of the individuals we support. Candidate Pre-Requisites: - Previous experience in healthcare is advantageous, but we also welcome individuals looking to enter the healthcare sector as comprehensive training can be provided. - Access to your own vehicle and the ability to drive independently (a Full New Zealand Driver's License is required). - Flexibility to travel and work on a rotating roster. - Legal right to work in New Zealand is essential.
